It’s Friday the 13th, a day traditionally associated with bad luck.

I’m not a superstitious person. Even if was, any additional ill omens would be gilding the misfortune lily at this point.

It would take a cutting edge supercomputer to figure out how many times those little monsters cross my path on a daily basis.

Recommended listening: UK Decay – The Black Cat (from The Black EP, 1980)

A compelling take on the subject, but the real curse involves keeping the litter box clean.

We’ve got nine rescues in a one bedroom apartment; as the primary caretaker and litter-box(es) cleaner, I feel at least a little of your pain.

(Let me also say again how much pleasure the Halloween Countdown gives me. It makes me nostalgic for the Bay State, but then so do most of your posts. The spooky content, especially the reminiscences of our shared 1970s boyhood is just creeplicious lagniappe.)

    Awww! Love them!
I have 3 furry monsters (none black, tho) – but my orange boy goes out of his way to place himself underfoot. I call him my speedbump.
