All the cool kids…

…really are doing it.
Recommended listening: Alan Parker – Punch Bowl (from KPM 1130: Afro Rock, 1973)
Some tracks can make you smile. Some tracks can make you misty-eyed. Some tracks make you want to don a black Nehru jacket and lay some kung fu smackdown on a gang of international heroin smugglers while surfing on the top of a burnt orange AMC Javelin speeding down a dingy alleyway in the South Bronx.

You know, that was a gimmick in the ’70s SHAZAM! revival that they really didn’t use to its best advantage: the idea of Billy & Co. being time-displaced by 20 years.
It’s kind of odd to see supposedly-12-to-14-year-old Billy reacting like a 40-something.
With three different time-lost teenagers to play with, they could have gotten a lot of mileage out of showing Billy, Mary and Freddy each adapting in different ways to the new era.
